S. HADLEY, Mass. -- The Boston College women's golf team finished fifth in a field of 13 teams at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championships at Hickory Ridge Country Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts on April 24 and 25. The University of Hartford won the event with a 17 stroke victory. The Hawks shot a 329-321-650, and were followed by Yale University (338-329-667), Rutgers University (339-337-676), Princeton University (350-327-677), and Boston College (355-350-705).
Freshman Kristy Finlayson of Hartford won the fourth tournament of her career after shooting an 81-76-157. Lauren Epstein of Dartmouth placed second with a total of 79-81-160. Gen Boas of Hartford finished third with a score of 82-80-162. Suzanne Carrazza was Boston College's top performer, finishing sixth with a total of 82-82- 164. Rounding out the Boston College competitors were Carolyn McDonald (88-92- 180), Meghan Donoghue (92-90-182), Jackie Shea (95-87-182), and Tina Haydu (93-91-184).
