Marty Reasoner, who led the nation in scoring last winter as Boston College advanced to the NCAA Tournaments championship game, registered one goal and two assists in the St. Louis Blues first preseason game, a 9-4 loss at Chicago on Saturday, September 19.
"He looked comfortable out there," Blues coach Joel Quenneville said. "He showed some determination in getting the puck and a sense of what to do with it when he got it. He showed a lot of intensity. I saw a lot of good things."
Reasoners performance earned him a slot in St. Louis line-up for Monday nights preseason game against Dallas. The game will mark Reasoners home debut in a Blues uniform as well as the return of former Blues star Brett Hull, who now plays for the Stars.
In three years at Boston College, Reasoner registered 162 points - 69 goals and 93 assists. He led the Eagles in scoring in each of his three seasons.
