Men's Tennis Goes 1-2 in Weekend Matches

The Boston College mens tennis team dropped two of three matches from April 9-11. The Eagles defeated Marist, 6-1, on April 9 before falling to Rutgers and St. Johns to end the weekend.
Freshman Marc Lucero went 2-1 while playing in the No. 4 singles position. He went three sets in wins against Marist and St. Johns. His 17-9 singles record is the best on the team.
The Eagles most commanding performance was against Marist. BC captured five of the six singles matches and swept the three doubles matches.
On April 10, BC managed one win in a 7-0 defeat to Rutgers. Junior Anand Annigeri and sophomore Jason Cowett teamed for an 8-2 win in the top doubles spot.
In the final weekend match, St. Johns defeated the Eagles, 6-1, on April 11. Lucero was the only BC winner.
The Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 15 when they host Providence. The match will start at noon.
