Men's Lacrosse Falls to Stony Brook in Season Finale

The Boston College mens lacrosse team finished its season with a heartbreaking 11-9 loss at Stony Brook on May 5. Stony Brook struck for two goals in the final two minutes to capture the win.
Senior Pat McCavanaugh led the Eagles with three goals -- including BCs final tally of the season that tied the game at 9-9 with 5:24 remaining. McCavanaugh finished the season ranked second on the team with 20 goals.
The Eagles top scorer, junior Dan Hayden, tallied two goals and one assist against the Sea Wolves. Hayden led the team with 41 points - 21 goals, 20 assists - in 13 games.
Junior Kieran OConnor netted two goals while senior Tyler Jewell and freshman Scott Lee each tallied one goal. Senior Ryan Bittman notched an assist on the final BC goal, in his final game at Boston College.
Senior Anthony Cirri made 19 saves in 60 minutes of action. He finished the season with 239 stops and a .605 save percentage.
The Eagles finished the season with a record of 5-8. They won four of their last six games after starting the season 1-6.
