Men's Lacrosse Defeats Yale

SUMMARY: Senior Kevin McLane netted two goals, including the 100th goal of his career, to lead Boston College to a 9- 8 victory over Yale University this afternoon. Yale junior Coddy Johnson posted three goals on the afternoon including two in the first half for the visiting Bulldogs. Junior Chris Zakak netted two goals on the afternoon. He opened the scoring netting his seventh goal of the year for the Eagles, and closed the scoring in the first half, leading to a 4-4 halftime tie. The Eagles started the second half by scoring five of the next six goals, to jump out to a 9-5 lead. Although Yale scored three unanswered goals to finish out the game, the Eagles were able to hold on for their third victory of the season. Anthony Cirri posted 21 saves for the Eagles, while Joe Pilch stopped 13 shots for Yale. The Eagles will host the University of Vermont this Saturday, April 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
