Men's Lacrosse Defeats Holy Cross, 21-12

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College junior Kieran O'Connor tallied six goals and one assist to lead the Eagles in a 21-12 win against Holy Cross at BC's Alumni Stadium.
In addition to O'Connor's heroics, junior Dan Hayden had an outstanding game. Hayden scored four goals and added six assists for a 10-point performance. Hayden assisted on three of O'Connor's goals.
Freshman Scott Lee tallied three goals and one assist while senior Pat McCavanaugh added two goals and two assists.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead, 7-2, after the first quartrer. O'Connor led the way with four first-quarter goals. BC never looked back en route to the nine-goal victory.
Holy Cross was led by sophomores John Price and Dan Lee who both netted two goals.
Senior goaltender Anthony Cirri made 19 saves - including many from close range - for the Eagles. Holy Cross goalie Brian Duff made 16 stops.
The Eagles have won three consecutive games, improving their overall record to 4-6. They return to action on April 28 when they face Providence. Game time is 3 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
