CHESTNUT HILL, Ma. - Eleven different players tallied goals for Boston College in a 19-6 defeat of Marist this afternoon.
Sophmore Kiernan O'Connor scored three of Boston Colleges first five goals on way to a 9-1 first quarter advantage. The Eagles then added eight unanswered goals over the next two quarters to give them a 17-1 lead entering the fourth quarter. Marist outscored the Eagles 5-2 in the final quarter, but it was not enough as Boston College improved to 6-7 and Marist dropped to 2-9.
Senior Kevin McLane led the way for Boston College posting seven points on five goals and two assists. Freshman Charles Koch and Mark Monahan netted their first career goals for the Eagles.
Junior Mike Dunne posted three points, two goals and a assist for Marist.
All three goalies; Cirri, Gallagher and Sullivan; played for the Eagles and combined for 13 saves. Wilson and Condela combined to stop 12 shots for Marist.
