CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman Jeff Giuliano and sophomore Mike Mottau each netted one goal to lead Boston College in a 2-2 tie with New Hampshire in a HOCKEY EAST contest before a crowd of 7,770 at Kelley Rink.
Sophomore goaltender Scott Clemmensen made 30 saves for the Eagles. Clemmensen also stopped 30 shots in the Eagles 3-2 win at UMass-Lowell one night earlier.
Giuliano netted his first collegiate goal at 12:49 of the first period to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage. The Eagles doubled their lead on Mottaus goal at 4:27 of the second period. Junior Tony Hutchins and sophomore Brian Gionta assisted on Mottaus tally.
New Hampshire (23-5-3) junior forward Darren Souza trimmed the BC lead to 2-1 with a goal at 16:45 of the second period. Freshman forward Darren Haydar evened the score at 17:24 of the third period.
New Hampshire sophomore Ty Conklin stopped 26 shots.
Boston College (19-10-3) returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Providence College.
