BOSTON - Boston Universitys Michel Larocque made 30 saves in a 4-2 HOCKEY EAST victory over Boston College before a sold-out crowd of 3,806 at Walter A. Brown Arena.
The Terriers (2-6-1, 1-4-1 HOCKEY EAST) took an early lead when forward Dan Cavanaugh opened the scoring 1:43 into the first period.
Boston College freshman Ales Dolinar evened the score with his first collegiate goal three minutes into the opening stanza. The Terriers Tommi Degerman gave the lead back to BU with his short-handed tally at 8:06.
The Eagles tied the game when Blake Bellefeuille collected a pass from Brian Gionta and powered home a power-play goal. Jeff Farkas added an assist on the tally.
Boston Universitys Russ Bartlett capped the first-period scoring with his game-winning tally at 16:38. Senior captain Albie OConnell added an insurance goal at 15:29 of the middle period to give the Terriers a two-goal advantage.
Scott Clemmensen made 13 saves for the Eagles.
With the loss, BC falls to 6-2-1 overall and 4-2 in HOCKEY EAST. The Eagles return to action on Friday, November 27 when they travel to St. Lawrence.
