Men's Basketball Wins Exhibition Opener, 112-80

CHESTNUT HILL - Junior forward Michael Cotton scored 17 points to lead five Eagles in double figures as Boston College defeated the BABC Alumni, 112-80, in an exhibition game before 1,023 fans in Conte Forum.
Cotton hit 8-of-9 field-goal attempts, including one three-point field goal. He also grabbed five rebounds. Joining Cotton in double digits were freshman forward Kenny Walls (14 points), freshman guard Willie Deane (13), sophomore forward Julian Bah (11) and sophomore guard Kenny Harley (11).
The Eagles shot 63.2 percent from the field in the contest. BC hit 63.9 percent of its first-half attempts to take a 54-37 halftime advantage. The host team maintained the hot hand in the final 20 minutes, shooting 62.5 percent from the field and adding 58 points to its halftime total.
Harley and Bah shared team-high rebounding honors with six each.
BABC Alumni was led by Trent Forbes (18 points) and Curtis McCants (18 points). Former BU star Dan Delgado added 14 points for the visitors.
Boston College returns to action on Monday, November 9 against One World Basketball. The exhibition game begins at 7:30 p.m.
