Mary Dietz Named BIG EAST Co-Pitcher of the Week
BC goes after their third straight title
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-Junior Mary Dietz(San Manuel, AZ) was selected BIG EAST Co-Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 2nd.
Dietz recorded her second no-hitter of the season in a 1-0 win over Villanova on May 1. She struck out four and walked one in the win.
The right-hander finished BIG EAST play with an 8-1 record with a 1.69 ERA. She finished the season with seven straight victorys.
Boston College finished 11-5 in the BIG EAST , earning the third seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. They will take on the number two seed Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon at Storrs, CT. Game time is noon time.
BC will go after their third straight title. The winner of the tournament earns the automatic bid to the 32-team NCAA Division I Championship.
