BOSTON (AP) - Kenny Walls scored 18 of his career-high 24 points in the second half to lead Boston College to an 81-66 Big East win over Seton Hall on Tuesday night.
Kenny Harley scored 17 points, Michael Cotton had 12 and Jonathan Beerbohm 11 for the Eagles (5-14, 2-9), who posted their second straight league win. Boston College defeated Notre Dame, 78-67, last Wednesday.
The Pirates (11-10, 5-7), who have lost six of their last seven, were led by Rimas Kaukenas' career-high 24 points.
Boston College, who led 34-33 at the half, opened the second half with a 9-2 run to pull to a 44-35 edge on Walls' breakaway dunk with 17:24 to play.
After the Kaukenas nailed a 3-pointer for the Pirates, the Eagles scored 10 of the next 14 points to move ahead by 12 with 10:30 to go. Brian Ross keyed the spree with a pair of jumpers.
Boston College's lead ranged between 10 and 12 points over the next four minutes before it used an 11-2 run to put the contest away. Walls, who was 5-of-8 on 3-pointers, had a pair of 3's during the game-breaking spurt.
The Eagles, who connected on nine of their first 10 shots, jumped to a 22-11 lead seven minutes into the first half before the Pirates closed the gap to one at intermission.
