WASHINGTON (AP) - Nat Burton and Kevin Braswell each scored 14 points to lead Georgetown to a 57-54 victory over Boston College on Wednesday night.
The Hoyas (13-12, 5-10 Big East) kept alive their hopes of earning a National Invitation Tournament bid by bringing their record above the .500 mark.

Boston College scored the game's first nine points, holding the Hoyas scoreless for the opening 4:40, and went on to a 30-24 halftime lead as Georgetown committed 11 turnovers.
The Eagles hit a 3-pointer to open the second half then went 11 minutes without scoring. The Hoyas' 18-0 run gave them a 42-33 lead before Boston College finally scored on a dunk by Kenny Walls with 8:18 remaining.
Georgetown had a six-point lead until Kenny Harley, who led all scorers and tied a career high with 19 points, made a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining to bring the Eagles within three.
The Hoyas had more turnovers (22) than field goals (19) and were 1-of-17 from 3-point range.
