CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Fresh off their 34-17 win over West Virginia Saturday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, the Boston College Eagles are ranked 22nd in this week's ESPN/USA Today college football coaches' poll. BC was ranked 25th in that poll last week.
The Eagles have cracked the Associated Press writers' poll for the first time this season, coming in at 25th.
The 7-2 Eagles will head to South Bend, Ind., next weekend for a nationally televised (NBC) game vs. Notre Dame. Boston College will enter a game with a 7-2 record for the first time since November 20, 1993 ? when they upset top-ranked Notre Dame 41-39 on David Gordon's last-second field goal.
