CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College senior forward Jeff Farkas earned HOCKEY EAST?/KOHO Player of the Week honors for the week ending Oct. 24.
During the week, Farkas scored five goals and had three assists as the top-ranked Eagles won games against Merrimack (10/19) and UMass-Amherst (10/23).
In the Oct. 19 game against Merrimack, Farkas scored two third-period goals. Against UMass-Amherst on Oct. 23, the Williamsville, N.Y. product recorded the third hat trick of his career with all three of his goals coming in the game?s first 34 minutes.
For the season, Farkas leads Boston College in scoring with 11 points -- five goals, six assists. His 143 career points -- 62 goals, 81 assists, rank him 21st on BC?s all-time list.
The Eagles 3-0-0 overall, 2-0-0 HOCKEY EAST, step out of conference play for a two-game series at WCHA-member Minnesota on Oct. 29 and 30.
