Bill Romanowski

- One of the most talented defenders ever to wear the Eagles' Maroon and Gold, he was a four-year starter at linebacker and won a host of All-East, All-ECAC and All-America accolades during his dazzling college football career.
- As a freshman, he won a starting role in the lineup of BC's storied 1984 Lambert Trophy and Cotton Bowl Championship team, topping his rookie year by his selection as "Defensive MVP" of BC's post-season victory in Dallas. As a junior, he helped the Eagles defeat Georgia in the Hall of Fame Bowl.
- In his senior season, a record 156 tackles (101 solo) earned him the George "Bulger" Lowe Award as New England's top college football player. He also was a recipient of the Thomas F. Scanlan Memorial Award as BC's top football scholar-athlete and played in the East-West Shrine Game at the conclusion of the season.
- After graduation, he played 16 years in the National Football League, competing in an NFL record 243 consecutive games at linebacker, and was a member of four Super Bowl championship teams (San Francisco 49ers, 1989, 1990; Denver Broncos, 1998, 1999). He twice received NFL "All-Pro" honors.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
