Matt Conway enters his 20th year at Boston College and he currently serves as the Associate Athletics Director for facilities, operations and capital projects within the Boston College Athletics Department. In his current role, he oversees the daily operations of the athletic facilities and all facility construction projects. Over the past five years, Conway has overseen $400 million in capital construction projects including the completion of the Fish Field House, Harrington Athletics Village, the ACC Network Integration, the Pete Frates Center for baseball performance, and most recently, the Hoag Basketball Pavilion.
Additionally, Conway also oversees event management and championships for the athletics department. Over the course of his career at Boston College, Conway has been a member of the event management team for four NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regional championships (2024, 2018, 2012 and 2009), every College Football Playoff Championship game since 2015, and multiple other NCAA, ACC and Hockey East Championships.
Conway joined Boston College in September 2004 and as the Manager of intramurals, club sports and instructional programs and later as Assistant Director of campus recreation/intramurals, club sports & facilities in the Campus Recreation Department. He was promoted to the role of Assistant AD for Event Management in January 2007 and to his current role in 2014. Before joining BC, he served as manager of facilities and operations at Seton Hall University (2001-04) and in various capacities for The Hoop Group (1995-2001).
A 1998 graduate of Wilkes University, Conway received the Skip Prosser Service Award, presented by the ACC men's basketball officials for outstanding service. He also received the Facility of Merit Award for the Alumni Stadium safety and security policies and procedures.
Originally from Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Conway and his wife, Meghan, are the parents of three sons, Owen (BC 2025), Liam (BC 2028) and Ryan (15) and reside in Sharon.
