Caitlin Mance rejoins the BC women's rowing Staff for the 2015-2016 season to assist with the upperclassmen group for her second stint at the Heights.
Mance currently works at Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI) as their Manager of Foundation and Corporate Giving. She is responsible for implementing an organization-wide fundraising program that incorporates foundation fundraising, corporate sponsorship, and other pledges.
Prior to re-joining the Eagles, Mance served as Fellow at CRI's Institute for Rowing Leadership, a graduate level coaching education program here in Boston. As part of her fellowship, Mance worked closely with BC's Freshman and third varsity eights. She also served as an assistant coach for the US Paralympic LTA 4+ in the summer of 2013 and 2014.
Mance moved to Boston in 2009 to complete her master's degree in Energy and Environmental Analysis at Boston University while continuing to row at the Riverside Boat Club.
After receiving a bachelor's degree in Biology in 2008 from Cornell, she started her coaching career as an intern coach with the women's varsity rowing program working primarily with the third varsity four. While in Ithaca, Mance helped develop players such as Erica Crump who received All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team honors in 2009 and provided one-on-one skill instruction for thirty student-athletes.
A native of South Easton, Mass., Mance rowed for four years at Cornell, captaining the Big Red as a senior. After her senior season, she earned the 2008 Cornell Rowing Bill Doherty Award for selfless contributions to the team.
