Nick Drago joined the Boston College men's and women's golf program as an assistant coach in August 2023.
Drago comes to the Heights after spending the previous two years as the head women's golf coach at Bryant University, guiding the Bulldogs into their first full season of Division I competition in 2022-23. Prior to his time at Bryant, Drago served as the head men's golf coach at Wagner College for two seasons. At the time of his appointment in 2019, he was the youngest NCAA Division I coach in the country.
Originally from Duxbury, Mass., Drago spent time as an Assistant Golf Professional at Winchester Country Club in Winchester, Mass and Indian Creek Country Club in Miami Beach, Fla. As a collegiate golfer, Drago began his career at the University of Hartford before transferring to Johnson & Wales (Fla.) where he was a member of two Sun Conference Championship teams and competed in the 2017 NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. While at J&W, Drago also served as a Golf Management Program Intern in the spring of 2018, assisting with coaching and administration of both men's and women's programs.
A prep standout at Duxbury H.S., Drago was a member of two Duxbury H.S. state championship teams in 2009 and 2010 and was the 2012 Massachusetts state sectional individual medalist. After finishing second in the state final as an individual, he earned 2012 Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors and was a three-time Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic selection (2010, 2011, and 2012) and a Boston Herald All-Decade team selection.
He earned his bachelor's degree in sports, entertainment, and event management with a minor in professional golf management in 2018 from Johnson & Wales and graduated with his MBA from Wagner in 2021.
