Nick Burdi

Title:
Assistant Coach
Email:

Nick Burdi is in his first season on the Boston College Baseball coaching staff after over 10 years in professional baseball. From Downers Grove, Ill., Burdi played collegiate ball at the University of Louisville and was drafted in the second round of the 2014 MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins.

“His playing career, both at Louisville and professional baseball, speaks for itself, but his ability to connect with our players and his vision for each of them individually is why he is part of Birdball,” said head coach Todd Interdonato. “The more we got to know him and hear his plan for our staff, it became clear this was the perfect individual to take the baton and continue to push our program forward. We are ecstatic to welcome Nick and Becca, along with their two children to Birdball!"

Burdi was selected in the major league rule five draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. He made his major league debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2018. He spent time in the San Diego Padres minor league system before joining the Chicago Cubs active roster. Burdi made the New York Yankees Opening Day roster in 2024 before playing for the Boston Red Sox and its Triple-A affiliate, the Worcester Red Sox, in 2025.
