Maggie Dwyer is in her first year as assistant athletic director of major gifts at Boston College.

Prior to coming to the Heights, Dwyer worked as associate athletic director of development and director of major gifts at Jacksonville University for one year.Â

Before this, she spent two years at the University of Delaware working in development starting off as associate director of development in athletics, she earned the title of assistant athletic director of development.

Prior, Dwyer spent two years as the executive director of Recovery On Water, a rowing organization and team that empowers all women in the sport, especially those battling breast cancer, survivors and all female-identifying individuals.

A former four-year varsity rower and team captain at the University of Pennsylvania, Dwyer was the women’s rowing associate head coach of Jacksonville University Rowing for over four years. During her time, she helped guide a trio of MAAC Championship teams and spearheaded the planning and execution of campus-wide events and fundraising initiatives, and she implemented a comprehensive professional development series for student-athletes.

Dwyer earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from University of Pennsylvania in 2015, then went on to obtain a Master of Science in organizational leadership from Jacksonville University in 2018.
