Lucas Wessel is entering her first year with Boston College as an Athletic Communications Assistant, serving as the primary contact for men's & women's cross country and track & field, men's & women's golf, sailing, and as a secondary contact for men's basketball.

Before joining the Eagles, Wessel spent the 2024 season at Northeastern University as the Jack Grinold Athletic Communications Intern, serving as primary contact for field hockey, cross country, and track & field, and women's swim and dive, assisting with men's & women's basketball and men's & women's ice hockey. During his time with the Huskies, he documented the comeback of 110m hurdle All-American Ethan Exilhomme through a series of stories on gonuhuskies.com, as well as highlight reels/graphics from the outdoor season to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Before Northeastern, he spent the 2023-24 athletic year at UMass Lowell as an Athletic Communications assistant, serving as the primary contact for softball and assisting with men's basketball, men's ice hockey, and cross country and track & field.

Wessel graduated from the University of Vermont in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Sports Management. He served as an Athletic Communications Intern during his senior year and was a two-year member of the club tennis team.

He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sports Administration at Boston College.
