Karmichael Dunbar II enters his third season as Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach with the Boston College Football program after being hired prior to the 2024 season.Â
Prior to arriving on The Heights, Dunbar II spent two seasons at Florida (2022-23) in the same role. A native of Opelousas, La., he joined the Gators after spending three seasons (2019-21) in his same role at Louisiana. Â

Prior to Louisiana, Dunbar II spent the 2018 season at Tennessee, where he served as a defensive graduate assistant.

Dunbar II started his career at the University of Alabama in 2017 as an intern, assisting in the development of that year’s national championship team.
Â
A graduate of the University of Louisiana, Dunbar II was a defensive lineman with the Ragin’ Cajuns from 2012-16. He appeared in 37 games during his time in Lafayette, tallying 65 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and two fumble recoveries in his career.

Dunbar II is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and is a certified coach by USA Weightlifting, the national governing body for weightlifting in the United States.
