Julian Rowe-Cohen enters his second season with the Boston College Football program, his first as Assistant General Manager. Rowe-Cohen was promoted to the new role following a season as Director of High School Recruiting and Player Personnel. At The Heights, Rowe-Cohen oversees all aspects of the player evaluation process relative to both high school and transfer portal prospects, and jointly assists the management of the revenue sharing cap, team roster numbers and the scholarship budget. Additionally, he helps with player contract negotiations, provides collaborative oversight over the strategic planning of prospect visits and oversees the staff’s road recruiting plan and strategy whilst simultaneously undertaking road recruiting responsibilities as one of the team’s designated on-the-road recruiters.
Prior to arriving in Chestnut Hill, Rowe-Cohen worked for the North Carolina Tar Heels Football program from March 2022 until January 2025, first as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel and later the Director of Scouting. At UNC, Rowe-Cohen assisted in the recruiting needs of the coaching staff including the management of the high school and transfer portal recruiting boards, completion of player evaluations and retrieval of prospect information in addition to aiding in the on-campus recruiting efforts for relevant prospects. He also assisted with the planning and execution of coaches’ recruiting travel plans and communication schedules. While at North Carolina, he had a significant hand in the completion of advance opponent and self-scout projects and served as the direct oversight for the team’s group of player personnel interns, supervising daily film processing and other projects, in addition to leading a weekly scout school.
In addition to his player personnel responsibilities, Rowe-Cohen oversaw all creative endeavors pertaining to the North Carolina Football recruiting department.
Prior to joining the North Carolina Football program, Rowe-Cohen worked at the University of Texas for four seasons. He joined the Texas Football program in 2018 as a video operations intern before transitioning to player personnel and recruiting in 2019. As a recruiting assistant and player personnel analyst, Rowe-Cohen helped the Longhorns bring in three top-15 classes nationally, including the nation’s 5th ranked class in 2022. While at Texas, he assisted with day-to-day recruiting operations, player evaluations and on-campus recruiting visits.
Previously, Rowe-Cohen worked as a training camp intern with the Houston Texans in the radio department and as a summer marketing intern at HBO.
Rowe-Cohen received dual degrees in sport management and journalism from the University of Texas in 2021. An avid musician, he is a native of New York, N.Y.
