Jeff DeVaughn was recently promoted to Associate Athletics Director, Major & Leadership Giving. Since joining University Advancement in 2021, DeVaughn has demonstrated an exceptional ability to collaborate with gift officers, mentor young fundraisers, and successfully close gifts at all levels of the gift pyramid.

In his most recent role, he played a pivotal role in leading the leadership giving team, including teaching and mentoring new staff, refining the LG pipeline, and aligning the team's goals with the broader priorities of UA and BC Athletics.

In this new role, DeVaughn will directly oversee the athletics major gift officers and drive strategy for athletics major and leadership giving. He also serves as the fundraising liaison for the track and field program, the sailing team, and volleyball. He also serves as the second sports administrator for women's soccer.

Beyond athletics, DeVaughn was the president of the Boston College Toastmasters Club, supporting staff and faculty in strengthening their public speaking and communication skills.

Before coming to the Heights, DeVaughn worked in student-athlete development at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. A Philadelphia native, he competed as a Division I football player at the University of Maine, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He went on to complete his Master’s degree in Higher Education, graduating in 2020.
