Placed 1st in the 100 fly at Providence College rounding off her career first place finishes at 15 ... namedOutstanding Performance of the Providence meet ... also named Outstanding Performance of the meet at Brown University in the 200 Fly... struggled with mono for the rest of the season.
AS A SOPHMORE (2009-10)
Received James J. Kane Academic Award... apart of Dual Meet Best 400 medley relay at Bryant University swimming butterfly which also was the best 100-fly dual meet split for Boston College...two individual top place finishes, one at Canisius and the other at Bryant.. single female on the 2010 Fin Relay Championship team ... Named to 2009-10 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2008-2009)
Best dual meet times in the 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley... at the Terrier Invitational placed 8th in the 100 fly, 6th in the 200 fly, and 5th in the 200 IM, which was named BC's Outstanding Performance of the meet... also named Outstanding Performer at her first college meet at WPI... 100 fly time at ACC's was the fourth fastest time swam by BC women's swimmer.
BEFORE BC
Attended Upper Arlington High School...four year varsity letters in both swimming and water polo...team captain for swimming and water polo teams...All-American in 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle...Academic All-American...Teams won seven state championships between swimming and water polo...Won Booster Club Scholar Athlete Award as well as Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award.

Katie is the daughter of Chong and Beth Chin and has two younger twin siblings, Abby and Alex . . . enrolled in the Carroll School of Management.
