AS A SENIOR (2010-2011):
Selected as a captain...named outstanding performer seven times...won the outstanding performance in one other meet...was named to the All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...added a single-season record of 52 wins to his new total of 172 wins which ranks him first in BC history...added a single-season record of 592.75 points to his new total of 2024.75 which also ranks him first...set two Flynn Complex Pool records in the 200 freestyle and 200 IM...won the 400 IM and 500 freestyle at the Terrier Invitational...set the school record in the 200 meter IM at Providence College...helped lead the team to a second place finish at the 2011 ECAC Championships by finishing 2nd in the 400 IM and 1650 freestyle, 3rd in the 500 freestyle, and he was a part of the 2nd place 400 and 800 freestyle relay teams...he won the Harold M. Groden MD Award for the third straight year...was named the 2011 Team MVP for the fourth straight year...was a recipient of the ACC postgraduate scholarship...was a recipient of the NCAA postgraduate scholarship...finishes his career with 10 school records...and 4 all-time dual meet best times. Groden MD Award...was named the 2010 Team MVP for the third straight year...became the all-time leader in wins with 120...and is ranked 3rd all-time in points scored. AS A SOPHMORE (2008-2009):
Was named outstanding performer in seven of the twelve dual meets...won the outstanding performance in four other meets... was named to the All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...won the 400 IM at the Terrier Invitational in a BC record time...finished twentieth in the 400 IM at the ACC Championships...set six individual records at the ACC Championships--200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 IM, 400 IM...helped set four relay records at the ACC Championships--200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay...was awarded the Harold M. Groden MD Award...and was named the 2009 Team MVP. AS A FRESHMAN (2007-2008):

John is from Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. He is the son of Mary and Joe Maloy. He has one brother, Joe, who is a senior at B.C. and a captain of the swim team. In Wildwood, John swims for the Wildwood Crest Dolphins Swim Team.
