Brian Keane is entering his first season as the assistant coach for the men's and women's swimming & diving teams at Boston College.Â
Previously, Keane was the assistant coach for two seasons at Bryant University. While there, the Bulldog women won the 2020 and 2021 Northeast Conference Championship and the staff was honored as the 2020 NEC Coaching Staff of the Year. In the men's inaugural season into the NEC in 2021, they won their first-ever conference championship. The Bulldogs broke 10 different school records during his time in Smithfield.Â
Prior to Bryant, Keane was the assistant coach at Babson College. During his time with the Beavers, the team broke 21 school records and recorded the largest point total in school history at the 2019 NEWMAC Championships.
Keane began his coaching career with Kingfish Swimming, a club program with branches located throughout New England. He swam at UMBC from 2010 to 2014 and won both the 2011 and 2013 America East Conference Championships.Â
Keane currently lives in Marshfield, Massachusetts with his wife, Emily, and two dogs.
