With over 30 years of experience in teaching and coaching golf, Drew Kayser has built Boston College Men's and Women's Golf into dominant programs in the Northeast since taking the helm in 2012 as head coach.Â
From 2008-11, Kayser served as the assistant coach at Boston College while simultaneously working as the Head Golf Professional at the prestigious Belmont Country Club, just outside Boston. Since joining BC Golf, he has consistently recruited the best and brightest players from New England, around the United States, and internationally.
Kayser has amassed the most tournament wins in Boston College Golf history, far exceeding the previous program totals combined. Some of these team victories include:

In 2014, Kayser created the BC Golf Mentorship Program to assist the student-athletes of the golf teams in preparation for successful careers beyond their time at the Heights. This program prepares student-athletes with guidance in interviewing skills, career advice, and networking opportunities. Student-athletes whom Kayser has coached have moved on to successful careers in business with firms such as Deloitte, Microsoft, Barclays, and Ernst & Young; in healthcare, specifically the fields of general surgery, urology, internal medicine, and dentistry; and marketing and management with the companies of Roku, Chicago Title, Southwest Airlines, and Saucony.
Kayser is a PGA of America Master Professional of Instruction - one of only two in New England and one of only 37 PGA Professionals out of 28,000 to successfully complete Specialty Certification in Instruction. He was elected to PGA membership in 1998 and has held the Master Professional distinction - the highest level of education and training by the PGA - since 2005. That year, Kayser was one of 32 PGA Professionals - one of 12 in the last 30 years - to be selected nationally to the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management Faculty. In the subsequent 14 years as a faculty member, he provided world-class training for aspiring golf professionals through skill-based education programs.

He earned his bachelor’s degree at Providence College and after the defunding of varsity golf, pivoted to the PC Black Pack rugby team where he was an integral member of the NCAA Division II New England Championship squad. He has continued his lifelong dedication to academics, more recently as a graduate student at Boston College. He earned masters' degrees in Leadership and Administration in 2020 and Sports Administration in 2022, both summa cum laude. Kayser also completed graduate in Human Resources Management (2025) at BC.Â
He resides in Newton, Mass. with his wife Keri, daughter Mikayla, son Jack, and dog Luna.
