Ralf Bissdorf has been serving as assistant foil coach at Boston College since 2019, producing four NCAA Championship qualifiers and one two-time All-American honoree.
Before coming to the United States in 2016, Bissdorf was the first head coach at Singapore Sports School, one of Asia’s most prestigious sports schools. In 2016, Bissdorf joined Marx Fencing Academy in West Concord, mass.
Bissdorf's students have won medals at Junior and Cadet World Championships for Singapore and the United States as well as in national competitions.
In his own fencing career, Bissdorf won a silver medal in the individual foil event at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Also in his career, Bissdorf earned World Rank No. 1, World Championsship in team as well as a European Championship in individual and team.
