Football Gameday Information
The following information is intended to assist fans coming to an event at Alumni Stadium by answering common questions with topics listed in alphabetical order. If you have further questions, please call Boston College Athletics at 617-552-GoBC.
With a capacity of 44,500 maroon and gold clad fans, Alumni Stadium is the home of the Eagles. In 1971, the stadium was expanded to 32,000 seats, with artificial turf and lights being installed. The stadium was rebuilt again in 1988, as matching upper decks and a new press box were added. The current version of Alumni Stadium opened in the fall of 1995. The current Field Turf surface was installed in the summer of 2023, and new video boards were installed in the summer of 2024. A state of the art public address system, restroom and concession facilities, an improved lighting system and a beautiful brick and glass exterior façade combine to make Alumni Stadium one of the finest football facilities in the nation.

ADA Parking & Seating
Accessible seating is located throughout BC facilities, with locations dependent upon the type of event and seating configuration. To purchase accessible and companion seating or exchange tickets for accessible locations, or if you have any questions about ADA seating, please contact the Ticket Office at 617-552-GoBC (4622) so we can best accommodate your needs.
Three (3) companion seats are made available for purchase per wheelchair accessible seat, when possible. Please note that companion seating is limited and availability and seating locations may vary by event and seating configuration.
On-campus ADA parking is available for season ticket holders only with a state issued ADA placard and a Boston College issued parking permit. Non-season ticket holders are advised to park at 300 Hammond Pond Parkway.
SEASON TICKET HOLDERS:
- ADA accessible parking is available on the second level of the Beacon St. garage for season ticket holders with a state issued ADA placard. There is currently a wait list for this service.
- Applications for ADA accessible parking accommodations for season ticket holders must be requested through the Ticket Office. Requests may be written and sent to the Ticket Office, Conte Forum Suite 2450, 140 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. Requests will be honored if space permits and proper documentation is provided and if space is available.
NON-SEASON TICKET HOLDERS (Single Game)
- There is no single game ADA parking available on campus.
- ADA accessible parking is available at 300 Hammond Pond Parkway, Chestnut Hill, MA for guests who have a state issued ADA parking placard (no BC issued permit required). An ADA accessible shuttle is available for patrons who are in wheelchairs, have difficulty walking, or need assistance. The drop-off/pick-up location for this shuttle is curbside outside Gate A of Alumni Stadium.
AEDs
There is an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) located near both the North and South entrances of Conte Forum. Mobile First Response Units also have access to AEDs on game day in the event of an emergency. Please contact the nearest event staff member if medical assistance is needed.
Alcohol Policy & Sales
Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol into Alumni Stadium. Guests will not be allowed to enter Alumni Stadium if they appear intoxicated. Drunk and/or disorderly behavior as well as violation of any alcohol policy will result in ejection from Alumni Stadium without refund and could result in the loss of season tickets.
Beer and wine is sold at designated concessions locations throughout Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum. Alcohol policies are as follows:
- We ID all guests regardless of age. Guests with an out of state license may be asked to provide a second form of identification.
- Two drink maximum per identification, per transaction.
- Underage drinking is prohibited.
- Guests under the age of 21 found in possession of alcohol will be turned over to BCPD.
- Guests who are consuming alcohol and appear to be under the age of 21 must be prepared to show proper identification.
- If proper ID cannot be provided upon request, these guests will be turned over to BCPD.
- Patrons who are seen supplying alcohol to underage guest will be turned over to BCPD for ejection from the event and/or disciplinary action.
- Patrons may be refused purchase at the discretion of stadium/event staff.
- No refunds will be offered for confiscated beverages.
- Alcoholic beverages may not be taken into or removed from the stadium for any reason.
- Loyalty cards and/or Eagle Bucks may not be used on alcohol purchases.
Animals/Pets
Animals/Pets
All animals are prohibited in Alumni Stadium with the exception of service animals assisting those with disabilities. We ask that all service animals be wearing their service vest upon entry into the facilities.

Banner, Signs and Flags
Banners, signs and flags deemed inappropriate by event staff are not permitted in Alumni Stadium. Signage may not be hung or attached anywhere inside or outside of the facility and may not obstruct the view of guests around them.
Bookstore
The Boston College Bookstore has merchandise stands located at the following locations throughout Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum:
- Conte Forum north concourse
- Conte Forum south concourse
- Alumni Stadium concourse in the south endzone
- Alumni Stadium tent at Gate D
- Alumni Stadium tent at Gate E
- Alumni Stadium kiosk at Section E on the concourse

Boston College Police Department (BCPD)
Many officers are present on game day to ensure the safety and security of the athletes, coaches and guests. The main BCPD station is located at 21 Campanella Way.
Brighton Campus
Tailgating is permitted in designated Flynn Fund parking location on the Upper Brighton Campus. Patrons parking and tailgating at Upper Brighton should enter at the main entrance of Commonwealth Avenue. Game tickets are required for those attending tailgates. We ask that pedestrians have their game ticket available to be scanned upon entering the Upper Brighton tailgating lots. Those without a game ticket will have the opportunity to purchase tickets on site.
Camera Policy
Still cameras that do not obstruct views of the field of neighboring guests are permitted. Cameras that have lenses larger than 4 inches or those with detachable lenses are not permitted in Alumni Stadium.
Cashless Concessions
All Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum Concession and merchandise stand locations accept debit and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and Boston College Student ID cards for payment. Please note that loyalty cards and/or Eagle Bucks may not be used on alcohol purchases.
Reverse ATM’s that convert cash to pre- paid cards can be found inside Alumni Stadium at sections A and O. These cards can be used at BC concession stands any location that accepts Visa.
Charter Bus Lines
On campus charter bus parking is limited and must be reserved in advance through the BC Athletics Ticket Sales and Service Department by emailing athtick@bc.edu or by calling 617-552-GoBC.
Clear Bag Policy
To expedite your entrance into the facility, we recommend not bringing bags into Alumni Stadium. Student Gold Pass holders are not permitted to bring any bags into Alumni Stadium. General guests may bring approved bags into the stadium but all bags will searched for prohibited items by stadium officials.
The only approved bags that will be allowed into the stadium include a small clutch bag, wristlet or handheld wallet (does not exceed 8"x5"x2"), a gallon-sized CLEAR plastic zip bag (does not exceed 11"x11"), and a CLEAR plastic bag (does not exceed 12"x12"x6"). All other bags are prohibited.
All guests and personal belongings will pass through the Evolv Weapons Detection Systems upon entry into the stadium.
Guests who have unapproved bags and do not have vehicles to store them in, can check them at the complimentary bag check location at Fish Field House adjacent to the Beacon Street Garage.

Concessions, Food & Beverage
No outside food and/or beverages are permitted inside of Alumni Stadium. Stands and carts are located throughout Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum. All stand locations accept debit and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and Boston College Student ID cards for payment. Conte Forum
Conte Forum is adjacent to Alumni Stadium and is the home of Boston College Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey teams. Conte Forum offers concession stands, merchandise stands, and restrooms open to the public on football game day.

Doug Flutie Statue
The Doug Flutie Statue is located outside on the north side of Conte Forum adjacent to Gate D of Alumni Stadium.
Eagle Walk
The Eagle Walk tradition began in 2007. The BC Football Team’s buses will unload at the base of the Commonwealth Avenue parking garage and the team will proceed through the Robsham parking lot and enter Alumni Stadium at Gate E. Guests are encouraged to come out to greet the players and coaches during the Eagle Walk. The Eagle Walk begins approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff.
Elevators
Elevators are located in the corner of each end zone and also in the north and south entrances of Conte Forum. The elevators provide service to the concourse levels of Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum with the exception of the upper decks.
Emergency Evacuation & Severe Weather
Emergency Evacuation
In the event that the Boston College Athletic Department determines that it is necessary to evacuate the Stadium, an announcement will be made by the Public Address Announcer advising guests of the need to leave the stadium. Upon hearing this announcement, guests are advised to exit the stadium in a calm and orderly fashion. Guests are encouraged to exit the stadium via the gate printed on their ticket. The gate printed on the ticket is the closest exit to that corresponding seat location. Staff members have been trained in emergency preparedness and evacuation and will assist guests as needed.
Severe Weather
Alumni Stadium has several services that act as early warning systems for severe weather which include: DTN Weather Sentry Reporting System and Thorguard Lightning Prediction Device.
Once severe weather has been detected 15 miles from the stadium, the public address announcer will make an announcement to inform those in attendance inclement weather including lightning is within 15 miles and that should patrons wish to vacate the facility for a safe shelter, they will be allowed to re-enter with a ticket stub.
At 10 miles from the stadium, patrons will be notified by a public address announcement that there is severe weather in the area, the game must be halted and all patrons must seek shelter.
Once the severe weather has cleared the area and it is safe to return to the facility, an "all clear" will be sounded by 3 short horn blasts on the game scoreboard along with announcements from the PA system.
Event Staff, Ushers & Ticket Takers
Event Staff may be recognized by their brightly colored jackets labeled "Event Staff." Please notify the nearest event staff member if you have any questions or concerns throughout your visit. Fan Behavior
Proper behavior is expected from all of our guests. Foul/abusive language and/or rowdy behavior will not be tolerated and will be cause for ejection and/or arrest. Violators may also have their season tickets revoked. Notify the nearest Event Staff or security representative immediately if actions of this type occur near you.
Guests of Boston College are expected to:
- Sit in assigned seats to avoid inconveniencing other guests.
- Keep aisles clear at all times.
- Be prepared to show your ticket stub each time you enter your assigned seating section.
- Refrain from entering the playing surface, throwing objects, or any other actions that may prove hazardous.
- Offenders will be ejected and are subject to arrest and prosecution.
Fan Fest
Open to all game patrons four (4) hours prior to the start of the game and closes 30 minutes before kickoff. Conveniently located outside the Margot Connell Recreation Center, FanFest offers pre-game festivities such as: inflatable games, sponsor activations, music, as well as mascot, cheerleader and marching band appearances. Admission is free with a ticket to the game.
Fish Field House
The Fish Field House is a $52.6 million, 115,700 square-foot facility that opened in July of 2018 and provides indoor practice space for BC Football, other varsity sports and campus recreation programming. The donor-funded facility features a full regulation field with an Astroturf playing surface and a 12,000 square-foot strength and conditioning center. Fish Field House is not open to the public.
First Aid
The first aid room is located on the lower concourse of Alumni Stadium inside Gate E, behind section U and is staffed by the following staff:
- One (1) Armstrong Ambulance EMT
- One (1) BC EMS EMT
- One (1) Boston College Police Officer
Mobile first response teams of three (3) emergency medical technicians (EMT) are located inside Alumni Stadium in the following locations:
- Northwest Corner of the Concourse at the top of Sections A-Z
- Northeast Corner of the Concourse at the top of Sections W-U
- Southwest Corner of the Concourse at the top of Sections H-G
- Southeast Corner of the Concourse at the top of Sections L-O
- Conte Forum 4th Floor Concourse under Upper Deck Sections GG to BB
- East side of Alumni Stadium Upper Concourse Concession Areas under Upper Deck Sections OO to UU
Flynn Fund
The Flynn Fund provides our student-athletes and coaches with the resources that are necessary to compete at the highest level of college athletics. Donations may be designated to any one of Boston College's 31 varsity programs, or you may choose to make an unrestricted gift to the Flynn Fund which gives the Director of Athletics flexibility to use the funds where they are needed the most. Gifts to Boston College earmarked for athletics qualify donors for membership in the Boston College giving societies.
Your annual investment helps fund scholarships, recruiting, facility upgrades, and operating costs. All annual gifts to Athletics are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Boston College's fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31.

Gameday Hospitality
Lower Lawn Tent Village
- New in 2021, a premium reserved tailgate location just steps away from Alumni Stadium with the ability to host up to 20 guests per tent. Guests can pre-order food for game day pickup and are permitted to bring their own alcohol (beer and wine only).
Guests must give a last name of tent purchaser and present a game ticket for tent entry. Each guest will receive a wristband that will allow for exit and re-entry.
Fans are allowed to bring their own beer/wine which must be stored within a cooler and checked upon entry. Hard liquor is not permitted. Wine is permitted in single serving bottle or boxed containers and there is a maximum of two coolers permitted per tent. No glass bottles or common containers allowed.
The village opens when tailgating begins and ends at kick-off (post-game tailgating policies apply).

Gate Openings
Gates to Alumni Stadium open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Guests are encouraged to enter Alumni Stadium through the gate printed on their ticket. Suite ticket holders may enter through any gate. All student “Gold Pass” holders must have a valid Boston College ID and must enter through the Student Gate located in the South endzone of the stadium between the Beacon Street Parking Garage and Gate A of Alumni Stadium.

- Gate B is located on the South side of Conte Forum
- Gate C is located on the North side of Conte Forum
- Gate D is located at the Northwest corner of Alumni Stadium
- Gate E is located at the Northeast corner of Alumni Stadium
- Gate F is located at the Southeast corner of Alumni Stadium and is accessible via the top level of the Beacon St. parking garage.
- The Student Gate is located at the South endzone of the stadium between the Beacon Street Gate and Gate A of Alumni Stadium.
Gold Pass
All students have the option to purchase the “Gold Pass” which grants students access into home games by swiping their BC issued Student ID card. Access to all events will be on a first come first served basis until allotted student seating is filled. Please note that purchasing the Gold Pass does not guarantee a student access to the games. It simply provides the opportunity to access games. It is up to the student to make sure they arrive early enough to get into the game or accumulate enough points to get a ticket for the high demand games.

Grills
Gas grills are only permitted in designated Flynn Fund surface lot parking areas. Charcoal grills are prohibited on campus. No grilling or open flames are allowed in the parking garages.
Gridiron Club
The Gridiron Club in its current form was founded in 2001. The mission of the club is to preserve the traditions, foster the ideals, and build support for the Boston College Football program. Benefits of membership include a quarterly newsletter, a one year subscription to ESPN the magazine, and access at reduced prices to events. The Gridiron Club events include a pregame tailgate in partnership with the Alumni Association for home games, Gridiron Club dinners, Gridiron Club receptions at away games, members only spring scrimmage access, and the Gridiron Club Golf tournament. Guest Services Stations
Guest service stations are located on campus at the base of the Commonwealth Ave. Garage and outside the Connell Recreation Center at Fan Fest. Staff can assist fans with directions and game day events at this location.
Hajjar Family Football Museum
Located in the lobby of the Yawkey Athletics Center, the Hajjar Family Football Museum opened in the fall of 2005. The museum features Doug Flutie’s Heisman Trophy and other key pieces of BC football history. Hours for the museum are as follows:
Hall of Fame Club
The Hall of Fame Club pregame hospitality function is located in the Shea Room. Membership is required and the event begins two (2) hours prior to kickoff.

Marching Band
On game day the 180 members of the Screaming Eagles Marching Band can been seen performing during the Eagle Walk as the members of the Boston College Football team make their way to the stadium from team mass in St. Mary’s Hall down past the Commonwealth Ave garage and through the Robsham Parking lot to Gate E of Alumni Stadium. The band also performs on the field at half-time and throughout every home game, concluding with the Alma Mater and a post-game performance from their seating section in the south endzone.
MBTA
MBTA
The MBTA is the easiest and most convenient way for visiting fans to access Boston College. Boston College can be reached by a variety of MBTA stations. The Green Line B, C, and D trains all have stops within walking distance to Conte Forum. The Riverside Station (exit 22 off Rt. 128/I95) provides ample parking and easy access from the Metro West Region via the Green line’s D train.

Yawkey Athletics Center
Opened in 2005, The Yawkey Athletics Center is a 72,000 square-foot facility attached to the North Endzone of Alumni Stadium. The Yawkey Athletics Center is home to football staff offices, Hajjar Family Football Museum, Alfond Football locker room, meeting rooms, sports medicine room, and the Learning Resources for Student-Athletes offices. The Yawkey Athletics Center was funded entirely by private funds and received the lead gift from the Yawkey Foundation. The Yawkey Athletics center is closed to the public on game day.
The Hajjar Family Football Museum

Hall of Fame
The Varsity Club Hall of Fame is located on the west side concourse of Conte Forum.
Parking
For all Saturday games on campus, parking lots will open four (4) hours before kickoff. All weekday games on campus will have parking lots open three (3) hours prior to kickoff. All on-campus parking for football games are for Flynn Fund donors only. Visit the Flynn Fund website for more information about on-campus parking.
Season Ticket Members
- Due to a limited number of parking spaces, parking permits are required for all Boston College on campus parking lots.
- All on-campus parking is assigned through the Flynn Fund at 617-552-0772.
- Flynn Fund Permit holders should follow the directions on the reverse side of their permit for best access to their parking area.
- Season ticket members who do not choose to secure on-campus parking via the Flynn Fund can contact the ticket office at 617-552-4622 for off-campus parking on our Newton Campus that offers a complimentary shuttle to main campus.
ADA Accessible Parking for Season Ticket Members
- ADA-accessible parking for season ticket holders is available on the second level of the Beacon St. garage for season ticket holders with a state issued handicap placard and a Boston College issued permit. There is currently a wait list for this service.
- Applications for ADA accessible parking accommodations for season ticket members must be requested through the Ticket Office. Guest Street Satellite
Starting for the 2023 season, satellite parking at 20 Guest Street, Brighton, MA 02135 is no longer available.
ADA Accessible Parking for Non-Season Ticket Members:
- There is no single game ADA accessible parking available on campus.
- ADA accessible parking is available free of charge at 300 Hammond Pond Parkway, Chestnut Hill, MA for guests who have a state issued ADA parking placard (no BC issued permit required). An ADA accessible shuttle is available for patrons who are in wheelchairs, have difficulty walking, or need assistance. The drop-off/pick-up location for this shuttle is outside Gate A of Alumni Stadium. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as this lot may reach capacity.
Oversized Vehicle Parking
- On-campus charter bus permits are limited and must be requested at the earliest opportunity so it can be mailed out promptly through the BC Athletics Ticket Sales and Service Department. For interest email athtick@bc.edu or call 617-552-GoBC.
- Motor Home (RV) parking is prohibited on the Boston College campus and in all satellite parking lots.
Shea Field
Patrons parking and tailgating on Shea Field are required to have a separate Shea Field Access Ticket in addition to their game ticket. Cars will enter and exit Shea Field via Thomas More Road. Pedestrians arriving with a Shea Field Access Ticket may enter Shea Field via the Shea Field Roadway (former third base line of the baseball field). Pedestrians arriving with a Shea Field Access Ticket may enter Shea Field via Campanella Way and down the sidewalk to the front of Fish Field House.
Pass holders in cars that need to get Shea Field Access Tickets to guests are strongly encouraged to do so prior to game day but can exit and re-enter with a wristband as needed. For games at which there will be postgame tailgating, Shea Field will remain a fully-ticketed event.
Alcohol may not be carried onto Shea Field and glass containers are not allowed on Shea Field.
Shea Field closes at kick off in addition to pedestrian access being suspended to Shea Field 30 minutes prior to kick off. BCPD will make affirmative efforts to end activities and clear Shea Field by the start of the game.
Upper Brighton
Patrons parking and tailgating at Upper Brighton should enter at the main entrance at 2121 Commonwealth Ave. Game tickets are required for those attending tailgates. We ask that pedestrians have their game ticket available to be scanned upon entering the Upper Brighton tailgating lots. Those without a game ticket will have the opportunity to purchase on-site.
Vehicle Restrictions
- RVs, campers, or limousines are NOT allowed on campus.
- There is no drop-off or pick-up area on campus.
- Parking garages have height restrictions:
- Commonwealth Ave. Garage : 6-foot clearance
- Beacon St. Garage: 7-foot clearance

Game programs are available for purchase inside all gates of Alumni Stadium.

PLEASE NOTE: Other items that, in the judgment of the stadium staff, pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons shall be prohibited.
Prohibited items will not be accepted for safekeeping by Alumni Stadium event staff. Fans are reminded to please leave all such items secured in their vehicles. Individuals with possession of a prohibited item(s) may be denied admission to Alumni Stadium. When a prohibited item is discovered after a patron enters the facility, the item shall be confiscated and disposed of and the patron may be ejected from the facility, shall be denied re-entry and the ticket price will not be refunded.
Grills
Gas grills are only permitted in designated Flynn Fund surface lot parking areas. Charcoal grills are prohibited on campus. No grilling or open flames are allowed in the parking garages.
Tents
Pop-up canopies are permitted on campus. Tents are not permitted anywhere on campus.

Restrooms are located throughout Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum. The restrooms offer baby changing stations and are fully ADA accessible. Companion restrooms are located in the south end zone second floor office building at each end. The companion restrooms are conveniently located near the ADA accessible seating section under the retired jersey wall.

Weekday Games
Parking lots open three hours before kickoff. Post-game tailgating is not permitted.
Weekend Games
Parking lots open four hours before kickoff. For games that start before 3 p.m., tailgating is permitted for one hour after the game ends. For games that start at 3 p.m. or later, tailgating is not permitted after the game.
- Tailgating is prohibited in front of the Merkert Chemistry Building.
- Tailgating is NOT permitted while games are in progress. Boston College Police Department will make affirmative efforts to end tailgating 30 minutes prior to kickoff and to clear all guests from parking lots by kickoff.
- Temporary heat sources (ie. propane heaters) are prohibited.
- Postgame: For games starting before 3 p.m., postgame tailgating may last up to one hour. For games that start at 3 p.m. or later., postgame tailgating is NOT allowed.

The MBTA is the easiest and most convenient way for visiting fans to access Boston College. Boston College can be reached by a variety of MBTA stations. The Green Line B, C, and D trains all have stops within walking distance to Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum. The Riverside Station (Exit 38 off Rt. 128/I95) provides ample parking and easy access from the Metro West Region via the Green line's D train.
