BOSTON COLLEGE SOCCER/LACROSSE FIELD AT NEWTON CAMPUS SPORTS COMPLEX
Located behind the law school on Boston College’s Newton Campus is one of the area's elite soccer/lacrosse facilities, home to the men’s and women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse programs. The current AstroTurf 3D60H artificial surface was installed prior to the 2015 season, and even more recently outfitted with Musco LED lights, permanent team benches, a press box and full ACC Network Broadcast capabilities.
With a capacity of 1,800, the lacrosse dimensions measure at 65 yards in width and 120 yards in length. The goals are 100 yards apart with 10 yards behind each goal.
BOSTON COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY FIELD AT NEWTON CAMPUS SPORTS COMPLEX
In 2005 the Boston College field hockey team made its new home at the state-of-the-art AstroTurf field located on the Newton Campus. The Field Hockey Field features an irrigated, non-filled nylon turf surrounded by fencing and a retaining wall. The facility includes a 750-seat bleacher with additional standing room, Musco LED lights for evening play, a press box and full ACC Network Broadcast capabilities. In the summer of 2014, a new AstroTurf surface was installed, followed by a new scoreboard in October of 2014.
ADA PARKING
ADA parking is available on a first come, first serve basis for guests with a state issued handicap placard in accessible parking spots as indicated by permanent ADA parking signs.
ADA SEATING
Both the soccer/lacrosse and field hockey fields have designated seating locations for individuals with disabilities attending events with adjacent bench companion seating available. In the event that a guest is blocking your view, please see the nearest event staff member for assistance.
AEDs
There are two AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator) located within Newton Campus Sports Complex. One is located at the soccer/lacrosse facility on the back of the team bench on the left when facing the press box from center field, and one at midfield of the field hockey field. A third can be found inside the Newton Campus Recreation Building near the restrooms. Please contact the nearest event staff member if medical assistance is needed.
ALCOHOL
Alcohol is not sold or permitted at any event at the Newton Campus Sports Complex. Tailgating is also prohibited.
ANIMALS/PETS
All animals and/or pets are prohibited in the Newton Campus Sports Complex with the exception of service animals assisting those with disabilities. We ask that all service animals be wearing their service vest upon entry into the facilities.
BAGS AND BAG SEARCHES
While there are typically no bag restrictions during the regular season, bags will regularly be searched for prohibited items. We reserve the right to implement the Boston College Event Bag Policy as needed, and it may be enforced during any post-season events.

BALDWIN

BANNERS, SIGNS & FLAGS
Banners, signs and flags are not permitted in the Newton Campus Sports Complex. Signage may not be hung or attached anywhere inside or outside of the facility and may not obstruct the view of guests around them.
BCPD (Boston College Police Department)
An officer is present on game day to ensure the safety and security of the athletes, coaches and guests. The main BCPD station is located in Maloney Hall at 21 Campanella Way on the Chestnut Hill campus.
CAMERA POLICY
Still cameras that do not obstruct views of the field of neighboring guests are permitted. Cameras that have lenses larger than 4 inches or those with detachable lenses are not permitted in the facility.
COLORS
The official colors of Boston College are maroon and gold.
CONCESSIONS/CREDIT CARDS
Concessions are only available during select games throughout the regular season. When available, carts are located upon entry to each field. Cash is the only accepted form of payment.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION
In the event that the Boston College Athletic Department determines that it is necessary to evacuate the facility, an announcement will be made by the Public Address Announcer advising guests of the need to leave the stadium. Upon hearing this announcement, guests are advised to exit the facility in a calm and orderly fashion through the main gate where they entered unless directed otherwise. Staff members have been trained in emergency preparedness and evacuation and will assist guests as needed.
EVENT STAFF, USHERS & TICKET TAKERS
At least one event staff member will be present at every athletic event at the Newton Campus Sports Complex and may be recognized by their brightly colored jackets labeled "Event Staff." Please notify the event staff member if you have any questions or concerns throughout your visit. FAN BEHAVIOR
Proper behavior is expected from all of our guests. Foul/abusive language and/or rowdy behavior will not be tolerated and will be cause for ejection and/or arrest. Violators may also have their season tickets for ticketed events revoked. Notify the nearest Event Staff or security representative immediately if actions of this type occur near you.

PROHIBITED ACTIONS & ITEMS
To ensure that all fans have a safe and enjoyable visit to the Newton Campus Sports Complex for all Boston College events, the following actions are prohibited:

PLEASE NOTE: Other items that, in the judgment of the stadium staff, pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons shall be prohibited.
Prohibited items will not be accepted for safekeeping by event staff. Fans are reminded to please leave all such items secured in their vehicles. Individuals with possession of a prohibited item(s) may be denied admission to the Newton Campus Sports Complex. When a prohibited item is discovered after a patron enters the facility, the item shall be confiscated and disposed of and the patron may be ejected from the facility, shall be denied re-entry.
PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM
The public address system is intended for spectator's information concerning the game.
RESTROOMS
Temporary restroom units are located on the side of the Newton Campus Recreation Building which can be found between the soccer/lacrosse and field hockey fields. There is an ADA accessible unit.
SEATING
In order to not obstruct the view of other guests, fans are encouraged to sit in the bleachers opposite the team benches. Standing along the fence from corner-to-corner along the fence in front of those bleachers is prohibited.
Fans may sit or stand in the grass area behind the end zone on the Colby Rd. side of the soccer/lacrosse facility only.
SEVERE WEATHER
The Newton Campus Sports Complex has several services that act as early warning systems for severe weather which include: DTN Weather Sentry Reporting System and Thorguard Lightning Prediction Device.
Once severe weather has been detected 15 miles from the facility, the public address announcer will make an announcement to inform those in attendance inclement weather, including lightning that is within 15 miles, and encourage patrons to vacate the facility for a safe shelter.
At 8 miles from the facility, patrons will be notified by a public address announcement that there is severe weather in the area, the game must be halted and all patrons must seek shelter.
Once the severe weather has cleared the area and it is safe to return to the facility, an “all clear” will be sounded by 3 short horn blasts on the game scoreboard along with announcements from the PA system.
SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in and around the Newton Campus Sports Complex.
TAILGATING POLICY
Tailgating for any event at the Newton Campus Sports Complex is prohibited.
TENTS
Tents are not permitted for any event at the Newton Campus Sports Complex.
