What are your fellow Eagles fans cheering and yelling? Find out below with a quick reference guide to the regular cheers and chants of the Eagles' fans at football, basketball and hockey games.

Football Cheers

"LET'S GO EAGLES! clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap"
"WE ARE!" response: "BC!"
"Eagle's on the warpath! Ohhh, Ahhh"
One side of the Stadium: "BOSTON!" --- Other side of the stadium: "COLLEGE!"
Drumline signals "E.__ A. __ G. __ L. __ E. __ S. EAGLES! EAGLES! EAGLES!"
On Offense: Be quiet and let our boys hear the signal calls.
On Defense: Be loud! Make tons of noise--jump up and down as a student section.
Big Third Downs on Defense: Get REALLY loud and get the rest of the stadium to stand up!
On Kickoffs: Make an insane amount of noise! All students extend their hands toward the field, and scream "woooooooOOOOOAAAHHHH!!!" when the ball is kicked.
After Each First Down: The Screaming Eagles Marching Band plays a section of the fight song, and students yell, "EAGLES! FIRST DOWN!" and make the first down arm motion.
After a Touchdown: Everyone goes crazy, and the band plays For Boston. At the end of For Boston, we count the score that our Eagles have racked up. While students are doing this, cheerleaders do push-ups for each point scored. After the first count, the student section goes into a fast-paced version of the score count, ending with the exclamation, "WE WANT MORE!!" During this celebration, it is BC tradition to toss a fellow student in the air while the rest of the student section is counting the score.

Basketball Cheers:

On Offense: Cheer on your Eagles! Use any of the above cheers or make your own. Since the referees and players are right there, it's easy to be creative and respectful to come up with your own chants.
On Defense: BE LOUD! Jump up and down, screaming "OHHHHHHH!"
Opposing Free Throws: BE LOUD AGAIN! Behind the basket, students point and wave their arms toward the center. When the player shoots, all Superfans quickly move their arms in opposite directions.
BC Free Throws: Be quiet and let our Eagles concentrate. Superfans raise their hands in the air with interlocked thumbs. The hands come together to resemble an eagle. When the free throw is made, Superfans bring this "eagle" down while yelling "woosh!" If our player makes both free throws, we scream "all day long!"
Opposing Player Fouls Out: Students carefully watch the player who fouled out, yelling, "Left! Right! Left! Right!" with each step that he takes. When the player takes a seat on the bench, Superfans yell "SIT DOWN!"

Hockey Chant:

The Sieve Chant: When BC scores a goal, students listen for the cue from the pep band and count out the number of goals the Eagles have twice similar to the football cheer. After you count the score yell "Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve!..." while pointing at the opposing goalie. Once the pep band signals again, students yell "oooohhhh SIEVE!" and point at the opposing goalie four times.
