Eagles Fall to UAlbany on the Road

ALBANY, N.Y. — The Boston College field hockey team (1-1) fell to UAlbany (2-0) 4-3, on the road Sunday afternoon.
Melea Weber opened the scoring in the first quarter, finding the back of the cage off a rebound for her first goal of the season. UAlbany responded in the second quarter, scoring twice off penalty corners to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.
The Eagles came out firing in the fourth quarter, with Alex De Cain and Caroline Chisholm finding the back of the cage to give Boston College a 3-2 advantage. The Great Danes answered with two late goals, however, to secure the 4-3 victory.
UP NEXT
The Eagles return to Newton to host Maryland, Northwestern and Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge Sept. 4-6. BC will play Maryland on Friday night at 6 p.m. before facing Northwestern Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. on ACC Network.
