Landmark partnership strengthens financial wellness and expands access to credit union services across Greater Boston.
ROCKLAND, Mass. — Rockland Federal Credit Union (RFCU), which will officially be renamed to Arise Financial on August 1, 2026, has been selected as Boston College's first exclusive credit union partner and will serve as the Official Credit Union of Boston College and Boston College Athletics beginning June 16, 2026.
This landmark partnership marks a significant milestone for both organizations and represents the first time Boston College has entered into an exclusive partnership with a financial institution, reflecting a shared commitment to helping individuals build strong financial futures through education, access, and opportunity.
"Being selected as Boston College's first exclusive credit union partner is an extraordinary honor and a defining moment for our organization," said David Cedrone, Chief Lending Officer of Rockland Federal Credit Union. "We're proud to partner with an institution that shares our commitment to education, service, and community, and we look forward to supporting the Boston College community for generations to come."
The partnership will create new opportunities to support students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader Boston College community through financial education, personalized banking solutions, campus engagement, and community-focused programming. The partnership will also include for the first time on the field playing surface at Alumni Stadium, the logos of the credit union.Â

"We are excited to enter into this long-term partnership with Rockland Federal Credit Union, an organization that shares Boston College's commitment to community, integrity, and excellence," said Blake James, William V. Campbell Director of Athletics at Boston College. "As Rockland Federal Credit Union begins its transition to Arise Financial, we are proud to stand alongside them during this important evolution. This partnership reflects our shared values and will create meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes, fans, and the broader Boston College community for years to come."
Plans also include a future on-campus branch location, which will establish Arise Financial's first branch presence in Greater Boston, expanding access to member focused financial services throughout Eastern Massachusetts. The location will complement Arise Financial's existing branch network and shared branching capabilities, providing members with access to more than 5,000 credit union locations and ATMs nationwide.
"Credit unions were founded on the belief that financial services should empower people, not simply serve transactions," said Kristin VanBeek, President and CEO of Rockland Federal Credit Union. "This partnership reflects exactly what we hope to accomplish as Arise Financial: creating opportunity, expanding access, and helping people achieve their goals at every stage of life. We're honored to partner with Boston College and excited about the impact we'll make together."
