Women's Hockey Shuts Out Boston University, 4–0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Ava Thomas recorded a goal and an assist as Boston College women's hockey defeated Boston University 4–0 on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
Boston College (16-17-1, 14-9-1 Hockey East) scored once in the first period and added two more in the second to take control of the conference matchup.
Thomas opened the scoring at 6:08 of the first period with a short-handed goal, assisted by Sammy Taber and Cailin Flynn.
The Eagles extended the lead in the second period when Emma Conner scored at 10:57 off a feed from Thomas. Just 1:41 later, Alanna Devlin made it 3–0 at 12:38, finishing assists from Emily Mara and Sage Babey.
Boston College added an insurance goal in the third period when Maxim Tremblay scored at 9:58 to seal the win.
Grace Campbell made 24 saves to record the shutout as the Eagles held Boston University scoreless on six power-play opportunities.
