Men's Tennis Opens Spring Slate with 4-3 Win Over Boston University

WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team (1-0) opened their spring slate with a hard-fought 4-3 victory against Boston University (1-1) Friday evening at the Wellesley Country Club.

The Eagles grabbed the early advantage as duos Matthew Carioscia and Matthew Overvelde posted a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles followed by Aidan Pack and Lukas Rais securing a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles to take the doubles point.

Carrying the momentum into singles play, Matthew Overvelde, Lukas Rais and Luke Levanat recorded straight set wins to clinch the match for BC.

Matthew Overvelde and Lukas Rais both went undefeated through doubles and singles play.
