
Men’s Hockey Announces Captains for the 2025-26 Season

A trio of seniors will wear the “C” this season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's hockey program has announced its leadership group for the 2025-26 season with three seniors wearing the "C" on their jerseys.
Brady Berard, Andre Gasseau, and Lukas Gustafsson will serve as the captains of the Eagles this upcoming season.
Berard enters his second campaign with the Eagles after skating in 35 games in 2024-25, tallying four goals and one assist. He opened his BC account upon returning for the second half of the season, going on an eventual three-game goal scoring streak. He later added to his total with a goal in the 6-2 win at Boston University in late January. Berard has played in 96 games throughout his collegiate career, totaling 16 points on seven goals and nine assists.
Gasseau skated in 36 games a season ago, posting career highs in points (30) and goals (15). Gasseau recorded a seven-game scoring stretch in February, tallying 13 points on six goals and seven assists. The California native posted six points with three goals and three assists in the weekend sweep over Vermont in late February, earning Hockey East Player of the Week. Gasseau has appeared in 112 games throughout his career, posting 88 points on 37 goals and 51 assists.
Gustafsson appeared in 35 games on the blue line last season, posting 15 points on two goals and 13 assists along with a plus-16 rating. The Georgia native opened the 2024-25 campaign with the primary assist on the game-winning goal in the 3-0 victory over Michigan State. The rising senior helped the Eagles to a crucial point in the 1-1 tie on the road at New Hampshire in March, scoring the winning penalty shot in the shootout to earn the extra point in the standings. The defenseman was named the Hockey East Defender of the Month for February. Gustafsson has 50 career points on eight goals and 42 assists through 111 games.
