
Three Named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team

Trio of Eagles honored for their excellence in academics and athletics
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Three Boston College women's golfers were honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association for their academic excellence.
Emily Böhrer, Ana Lucia Trevino, and Cynthia Zhang were named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team. Nearly 1,500 women's collegiate golfers from over 400 programs were recognized with this prestigious honor.
Böhrer appeared in nine tournaments in 2024-25, registering an adjusted stroke average of 75.8 over 25 rounds of play. Her best finish of the year came at the Red Bandanna Invitational on Sept 23-24, finishing in third place.
In her first season as a collegiate golfer, Trevino made seven starts (20 rounds) and registered an adjusting 76.2 stroke average. Her best finish came during the fall - a fifth-place finish at the Red Bandanna Invitational.
Zhang had an outstanding 2024-25 campaign for the Eagles, earning an individual qualifying spot in the NCAA Regional round. The team leader in stroke average (72.7), she won the Red Bandanna Invitational and posted runner-up finishes at the Quinnipiac Classic and the Diamante Intercollegiate during the fall. In total, she posted seven top 15 finishes in her nine starts.
Academic requirements for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar team are as follows:

- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season
- Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship
