
Dolce Garners IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week Award

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College junior goalkeeper Shea Dolce was named the IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Its the third weekly award for the Darien, Conn. native following Yale's 18-11 win in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
Dolce stopped 12 shots on the day in the victory with a .522 save percentage. It's the 11th time this season she's recorded 10-plus saves in a game, while she came up with five of her stops in the final period.
She helped shut down Yale's offense for over 20 minutes. Dolce leads the nation with a .555 save percentage and is just eight saves shy of becoming the second player in BC history to record 200 saves in a season.
Dolce and the Eagles aim for an eighth straight championship appearance on Friday when they face No. 3 Northwestern at 5:30 p.m. inside Gillette Stadium on ESPNU.
