CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Three Boston College lacrosse players were named Player of the Year by the ACC, as the league announced its Player of the Year awards.
It's the third straight season in which at least three Eagles won an end-of-the-season award. Rachel Clark, Shea Baker, and Shea Dolce represented the Eagles in the yearly awards.
All three were named ACC All-First Team, ACC All-Tournament Team, and the top 15 Tewaaraton Watch List.
Clark was named Attacker of the Year, Shea Baker earned Defender of the Year honors and  Dolce repeats as Goalie of the Year.
It's the first Player of the Year recognition for Clark and Baker, while it's the third straight season a defender has won the award.
Dolce is the first goalie to win the award back-to-back seasons and is now a two-time goalie of the year and freshman of the year.
Clark is the first Eagle since Sam Apuzzo to win Attacker of the Year. The senior is turning in a historic season with Boston College, leading the nation and ACC with 91 goals and is second in the country with 113 points. She won ACC Player of the Week four times, IWLCA Player of the Week three times and is on the Tewaaraton Watch List. Clark is the only player in the league with more than 100 points and is on her way to breaking the single-season program goals record 102.
Baker joins Sydney Scales (2023, 2024) and Elizabeth Miller (2018) to win Defender of the Year. She leads the team in caused turnovers (35), and ground balls (27) and is second with 88 draw controls.
The Ithaca, N.Y. native is the only player in the country with more than 30 caused turnovers, 25 ground balls, and 85 draw controls. She is on the Tewaaraton Watch List and was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Baker anchors a defense that's second in scoring defense (7.37) and fourth in defensive efficiency (22.7%).
Dolce leads the country and ACC with a career-high .556 save percentage, and tops the league in saves (170) and minutes. She was named IWLCA Player of the Week and ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Darien, Conn. leads the conference with 10 games of 10 or more saves and leads all goalkeepers in caused turnovers. Dolce is third all-time in program history with 464 saves. Â
