Game two is slated for tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Boston College Softball (21-24, 5-14 ACC) fell to the Syracuse Orange (25-19, 4-15 ACC) by a score of 7-1 on Friday evening at Skytop Softball Stadium.Â
The hosts got on the board in the bottom of the first inning behind an RBI sacrifice fly, but the Eagles would answer in the top of the second thanks to Janis Espinoza driving in Katelyn Deguire, who pinch ran for Adriana Martinez after she got the inning started for BC with a standup double.Â
In the bottom of the second, the Orange plated four runs to make things 5-1, and would go on to score a run in the fifth and sixth inning. The Eagles were unable to mount a comeback, making the final score 7-1.
On deck: The Eagles return to action tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m. for game two of the series vs. the Orange.
