
Three Eagles Earn Player of the Week Awards

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.  - A trio of Eagles for Boston College lacrosse were named weekly award winners on Tuesday. Rachel Clark was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week, Shea Dolce garnered ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors and Mckenna Davis was named ILWomen.com Player of the Week.
It's the second straight week Clark has been recognized by the league and the third of the season. She was also named the IWLCA and USA Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week.
Dolce earns the weekly award for the first time this season, and Davis earns a weekly honor for the first time this season.
Clark helped the Eagles to a 2-0 week highlighted by a 17-9 win over No. 5 Stanford, snapping the Cardinal's 20-game home win streak and setting a program mark with 20 straight wins dating back to last season.Â
She led the way with 12 points thanks to nine goals and three assists, and chipped in with a team-high five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.
Against Brown, Clark scored five of her game-high six points in the second half to lead the Eagles to the 11-goal win. She turned it on against the Cardinal with another six-game outing with five goals and one helper, along with a career-high four ground balls and two CTs. Clark scored three of her goals during a 7-0 run that helped put the game out of reach.Â
The Devon, Pa. native is on a four-game streak with at least six points, while she has at least five points in 11 of 12 games. Clark leads the country in goals (55) and points (71), while she is first among active leaders in goals (261) and second in points (324)
Dolce finished the week with 20 saves, and a .555 save percentage in the two wins. She totaled 11 stops against Brown for a fifth game with double-digit saves and nine more in the top-five win against Stanford. The junior goalkeeper is first in the ACC and second in the country with a .564 save percentage and is second with a 6.67 goals against average.
She has 390 saves for her career, while her .094 save percentage improvement is in the top five when facing at least 100 shots last year and this season.
Davis won the fan vote for ILWomen.com Player of the Week for her stellar eight-point performance against the Cardinal, tying a career high.
The attacker leads the nation and the conference with 40 assists, while she is third in the league and ninth in the country with 55 points. She is sixth in school history with 269 points, surpassing Charlotte North over the weekend. Davis' career assists numbers continues to climb, as she is at a program record of 183 and counting heading into the weekend.Â
The Eagles return to action on Saturday at 12 p.m. against Pitt in the Red Bandanna Game.
