
Elijah Onik Competes at NCAA Fencing Championships

Onik finishes 13th overall in Men's Foil
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Elijah Onik represented Boston College at the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships over the span of March 20-21 in University Park, Pa. on the campus of Penn State University.
Elijah Onik battled against the top fencers in the nation on Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Championships in the Men's Foil competition.
Onik placed 13th overall out of 24 fencers, while finishing with 12 victories in 23 bouts. Onik finished with 83 touches scored and 88 touches received over the span of five rounds.
The Glen Rock, N.J. native is coming off an impressive sophomore season where he earned a second place finish in Men's Foil at the 2025 NCAA Northeast Regionals. Onik also placed top-15 at the ACC Championships meet, finishing 12th overall. The sophomore finished 18th overall in Men's Foil at the 2024 NCAA Championships after earning 10 victories in 23 bouts. Onik's freshman campaign also included a second place finish in Men's Foil at the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regionals and a seventh overall finish at ACC Championships, and first team honors for the USFCA Northeast All-Region team.
Boston College finished 18th overall as a team with 12 points. Notre Dame took home the national championship on the Men's side with a total of 183 points, beating out second place Columbia (172).
