Ryan Leonard Named Hobey Baker Top 10 Finalist

The sophomore leads the country in goals with 29
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Boston College men's hockey sophomore forward Ryan Leonard was selected as one of the Top 10 Finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Leonard, the Hockey East Player of the Year and a Hockey East First Team All-Star, leads the country in goals with 29 and game-winning goals with nine, while sitting fourth in points per game with 1.34. He also has 18 assists for a total of 47 points.
The Massachusetts native is currently on a nation-leading 16-game point streak, totaling 27 points on 16 goals and 11 assists over that stretch. He has five multi-goal games, including hat tricks in victories over Boston University and UMass Lowell.
This marks the second-straight year in which BC has had at least one player named as a Top 10 Finalist for the Hobey Baker Award after Cutter Gauthier and Will Smith were named among the final 10 last season.
The Hobey Hat Trick will be announced on Thursday, April 3 with the winner being announced on Friday, April 11 in St. Louis at the Frozen Four.
