Jacob Fowler Named Finalist for the Mike Richter Award

The sophomore is one of four goaltenders that were named finalists
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender Jacob Fowler was voted as a finalist for the Mike Richter Award on Wednesday, presented annually to the top goalie in NCAA Division I Hockey since 2014.
Fowler is one of four goaltenders that were named finalists.
The Florida native was recently recognized as the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Year and a Hockey East First Team All-Star for the second-straight season, as well as the runner-up for Hockey East Player of the Year.
Fowler ranks near the top of the statistical categories in the country, sitting second in goals against average (1.64) and shutouts (7), and third in save percentage (.940) and wins (24). He led Hockey East in all four categories.
This is the second consecutive year in which the sophomore was named a finalist, having finished as one of the three finalists during the 2023-24 campaign.
The winner of the Mike Richter Award will be announced in April during the Frozen Four in St. Louis.
