Eagles Open 2025 Season with Third Place Finish

BC will race here in Boston next weekend.

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Boston College sailing opened their spring season this past weekend at the St. Mary's Team Race, taking third place out of eight schools.

The Eagles went 5-2 in the first round, picking up wins over Cornell (1-2-5), Navy (1-2-5), Old Dominion (2-3-4), St. Mayr's (1-2-3), and Yale (1-2-6). In the second round, BC went 6-1, only dropping one race to Yale.

In the six-team championship, Boston College went 2-3, picking up 1-2-3 wins over Roger Williams and St. Mary's, but falling to Yale, Stanford, and Navy. These results gave the Eagles a third-place finish.

BC was led by skippers Peter Busch, Michael Kirkman, and Jack Redmond. Brendan Peary, Emily Marlas, Lanie Ferrarone, Matt Budington, Sara Schumann, and Nick Budington served as the crew.
