Women's Tennis Drops 4-3 Battle Against BU

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Eagles (3-3) hosted Boston University (2-3) Friday afternoon in a hard-fought battle of Comm. Ave, but ultimately dropped the competition, 4-3 to the Terriers.
The Terriers hit the ground running taking the first point of the afternoon following two doubles wins. Natalie Eordekian and Tola Glowacka were the only pair to record a victory in doubles as they defeated BU's Madison Liu and Blanka DeMicheli 6-1.
Tola Glowacka recorded her second victory of the afternoon finishing 6-4, 6-2 in No. 3 singles. Not far behind, Olivia Benton tallied her first win as she recorded 6-3, 6-4 victories in No. 2 singles.
The Eagles and Terriers battled hard as three singles matches went into super tiebreakers. Recording the No. 6 singles victory, Alex Torre finished 6-7, 6-4, 6-0.
With both teams tied at 3-3, one final match decided the fate of this Friday battle, Nada Dimovska vs. Emily Zhao. Going 1-1 in the first two sets, the match went into a super tiebreaker. BU won the No. 5 singles match 6-2, 6-7, 7-6 to take the win.
