Women's Cross Country Competes at Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational

Eagles finish in 14th place with 349 points.
MADISON, Wisc. – The No. 22 ranked Boston College Women's Cross Country team opened its season on Friday afternoon at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, placing 14th overall.Â
The Eagles competed against some of the top teams in the country on the Women's side, including 14 teams in the USTFCCCA top-30 national poll.Â
Roshni Singh was the first Eagle to cross the finish line in the Women's Championship 6k race, placing 52nd overall. Singh covered the six-kilometer course in a time of 20:58.6. Aoife Dunne finished just behind Singh with a time of 20.58.8, earning her 53rd place.Â
Abby Lewis (64th) and Abby Loveys (72nd) crossed the finish line five seconds apart, while Molly Hudson (109th) was the final scorer for the Eagles with a time of 21:32.6.Â
Lily Flynn (21:35.4) and Ella Fadil (21:40.5) crossed the line at 112th and 123rd respectively, while Yasmine Abbes (23:33.0) rounded out the group of Eagles who competed in the six-kilometer championship race.Â
Molly FitzPatrick kicked off the meet for the eagles in a strong way, earning first place in the Women's 6k B race with a time of 21:15.2. FitzPatrick finished ahead of Ava Dobson of North Carolina (21:19.7) by over four seconds. Amelia Van Brabant (22:50) placed 46th, while Kelsie Vicknair (23:06.6) crossed the finish line in 52nd place.Â
Boston College Women's Cross Country team finished 14th overall with 349 points, while Washington (110) took home the win on the Women's side at the 2024 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational. Utah (139), Georgetown (145), Providence (180), and Wisconsin (182) rounded out the top-five finishers.Â
