
Eagles Eliminated From ACC Tournament in 4-3 Thriller

CARY, N.C. – The Boston College women's tennis team fought until the bitter end in the opening round of the ACC Tournament, dropping a 4-3 thriller to Clemson on Wednesday.
The Eagles kicked off the match in dominant fashion, claiming victory in all three doubles matches. Natalie Eordekian and Tola Glowacka clinched the first victory of the day for BC, taking the no. 3 match 6-4. Marice Aguiar and Stephanie Sanchez clinched the doubles point, toughing out a 7-6 win after taking the tiebreaker 6-0. Seren Agar and Nada Dimovska completed the sweep in doubles action with a 6-4 win in the no. 2 match.
Agar carried her momentum into singles play, securing the first singles point of the day in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. Clemson would answer with back-to-back wins in the no. 1 and no. 5 matches to tie the score at 2-2. Eordekian retook the lead for Boston College with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at the no. 2 spot. The Tigers evened the match at 3-3 after securing the no. 4 match.
Muskan Mahajan took the first set in the final singles match 7-5 against Daniella Medvedeva. Medvedeva would answer with a 6-2 win in frame two to force a final, match-clinching set. Mahajan took off with a 4-1 lead in the last set, however fell short 7-5 as Clemson clinched the match to advance to the next round.
